Are You Living Under What God Require?


The Bible records the reason for the bringing in of the post-cross covenant as being man’s inability to keep the pre-cross covenant. “ If there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another (Hebrews 8:7).

This verse is expressing the truth that if the Law God gave to Moses had been sufficient in accomplishing our relationship with God and what He purposed for the Community of the Redeemed in expressing Himself to the Community of Humanity, there would never have been a “new” covenant. The fact that Christ is the one that promised the New Covenant and the one that accomplished all that God wanted to do for man by fulfilling the requirements of the Old Covenant.

Religionists, past, present and no doubt future, refuse to believe such a statement about the Law. However, the author of Hebrews felt no such reluctance: The former regulation (the Old Covenant) is set aside because it was week and useless (for the Law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced (the New Covenant), by which we draw near to God (Hebrews 7:18-19).

The deception that the people mixing grace with the law are in is so great they fail to see the truth of this passage. Their relogisity disallows them from understanding the extent of God’s grace and love found in Christ and His Grace Gospel.

When you view the bible through the lens of Jesus and allow the Spirit to be your teacher, and see these passages for the truth that is in them you will understand that you are not dishonoring the Law by saying it is not the way to God or the way to maintain a relationship with God. Rather you are honoring God’s Law, (the Old Covenant), by recognizing its real purpose.

Paul clearly states that “no one will be declared righteous (justified) in God’s sight  by doing  the works of the law” (Romans 3:20), then in verse 28 asserts, “we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.” Is Paul here insulting the Law of God? Of course not, for in verse 31 he says, “do we nullify the law by this faith?” Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Law keepers...as much as you strive to keep the law you cannot, or believe you do keep the law, you don’t. It is God’s grace working through people as Christ lives His life through them that gives them the ability to live within the law.

In Living under what God requires you are missing out living in what God has provided.

The Abusive Tool of Fear-Mongering.

  Fear mongering is an abusive tool used by religion which cripples and limits one's spiritual growth to mature to the full stature of Christ. The fear mongering propaganda that is used as a means to get people saved speaks volumes about the quality of love used to try and scare people to become Christ followers. The scriptures declare that is is the “goodness of God that leads to repentance.” Another characteristic of  fear mongering believers is that they believe that natural disasters are God’s doing and are warnings or punishment for the sin of sinning people.
