Thought for today....Is this how it will be?

Fear-mongering, judgmental, condemning placard carrying religious spiritual elitists receiving their just-reward.

  1. You won't find the Apostle Paul coming up with cartoons mocking the judgements of God. He said in Galatians 6:7 God is not to be mocked what a man sows that's what he'll reap.

Paul took this to be a serious matter. Paul knew something that many grace teachers today know very little about. That's the terror of Lord. He wasn't talking about terror of Lord in regard to sinners (for no sinners will be at this judgement only Christians) but terror towards the saints. Read it for yourself in 2 Cor. 5:9-11.

He says that we must all stand before the Bema seat of Christ to give an account.
At this time those who talk so much about love of God will face the terror of God. For this reason Paul said he persuaded men to make sure that their labour is accepted by God.

    1. Hubert, did you ever consider that being a "Christian jerk" as being godly is mocking God?

What did Christ say to the "Christian jerks" of His day...Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Matt.23:15 Was Jesus mocking the judgements of God, or was he being truthful about the religious know-it-alls?

Jesus continues...Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
This sounds very much like religious jerks to me...but of course, as it is with the religious of today who think they have the "mind of God" they in their pious spiritual elitism were deceived by religious deception...and the sad part about it is, they thought they were being godly!

Examine yourself Hubert, to see if you are "in the faith," or in your perception of the faith.

  3. Terror towards the saints? And, "those who talk so much about love of God will face the terror of God": you obviously have no fear of that happening for you. Didn't Jesus take care of anything for us?

  4. Yes Christ took care of our sins at Calvary. But many confuse the Bema seat of Christ with the white throne judgement. At the white throne judgment all those who rejected Christ will be there but at the Bema seat of Christ only believers will be there and be judged not for their sins but for their works.

Paul spoke about this in 1Cor3:
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Again this is what Paul was referring to in 2 Cor. 5:
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Paul spoke about the terror of Lord in regard to our works and not our sins. Our sins are taken care of at Calvary but we must answer in regard to our works.

In Matthew 25 Christ spoke about the unprofitable servant.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

There are many unprofitable servants in kingdom of God. They will not be judged for their sins which was taken care at Calvary but for their unprofitableness.

If we are not going to be judged for our bad works, our good works done with wrong motive, or our unprofitableness then why is there a time of judgement mentioned by Paul at the Bema seat?

  5. The 'letter' kills, but the 'spirit' gives life, abundant life. The very fibre of my being cries out against such a mean and vindictive god as you portray. There is no 'good news', no gospel' in your ramblings

  6. If your not going to believe the warnings of Paul and Christ then I suggest you throw the Bible in garbage can and look for a book that is more in line with what you believe.
