The Jesus Way.

The author of Hebrews in 8:7-13 included quotes from the Old Testament to show the weakness of the Old Covenant and the superiority of the New Covenant, the new and better way. Notice that the new way that “they” (men) shall teach no more. In the Jesus way...the new way...man is not the spiritual “Teacher” when it comes to godly living. God puts His passion upon the hearts of, and makes known the oracles of God to yielded believers.

As long as the people of God succumb to the teachings of passionate men who has great denominational and religious passion and interpret the Bible to verify those passions Isaiah’s prophecy that “all your children shall be taught of Yahweh; and great shall be the peace of your children” (Isaiah 54:13). Is it possible the peacelessness, frustrations and unfrutfulness of God’s people is because they have sold their alligence to man-made systems who have appointed men to teach that which puritans to that system usurping God’s appointed teacher?

The Galatian believers were returning to those “weak and beggarly elements” of the old covenant. Paul, the receiver of the Grace Gospel of Jesus, made it very clear to them that to do so was to desire again to be in bondage, to be led about like a child that cannot be trusted to be out of sight (See Gal. 4:1, 9). To be governed by the Old Covenant way of doing things is to revert back to being controlled as children by the child-harness of the Mosaic Law and religious rules (v. 1 of chap 4). To revert back to this pre-cross system is spiritual immaturity because of refusing to be taught by God’s appointed teacher in favor of man-appointed teachers and Romans 8:4...the teaching of mature sons by the indwelling Spirit within cannot be realized.

The difference between children and sons is that children require external restraints by looking to the law written on tablets of stone. Sons are endowed with the Spirit and heart of their loving Father. His passion and will is a son’s desire because the Spirit of God dwells in them. Sons no longer do the do’s out of duty like slaves, but allow Christ to work through them...in the doing of God’s will. Slaves focus on striving to keep the law. Sons in the Community of the Redeemed, focus on their relationship with their loving Father and express Him to the Community of Humanity. The Spirit of the son inspires sons to focus upon God our Father not upon themselves, their “ministry,” or their interests.

The essential truth of the post-cross way...the Jesus way...as opposed to the pre-cross way...the Law way...is that we have received the Spirit of adoption and are no longer bound by external devices of Law control (see Gal. 5:18). Conversely those who strive to keep the Law have “fallen from grace” (See Gal. 5:4).

  1. Here you are doing it again. Something that many grace teachers are famous for. Making a Scripture say something it doesn`t.

By taking Heb.8:17-13 to say that we don`t need any teachers in the church today is not rightly dividing the word of truth. There is coming a time when every man will know God when he sets up His kingdom.

Right now we are in the time of a continuation of Book of Acts where God is still at work building His church. If teachers were needed in early church they are needed today.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;(Eph.4:11)

Why do we need teachers in body of Christ? Verse 12
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
We need teachers for our perfection but sad to say many grace teachers teach that we are already perfect and some even go as far as to say that they never sin.

What are teachers in church suppose to teach?
)Everything that Christ taught. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.(Mat.28:20)
Whole counsel of God like Paul taught. (Acts. 20:27)

3.)But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
    The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Paul wouldn`t fit in with modern grace movement. He would be accused of teach legalism.

I will just mention one more to drive a nail in the coffin of the false teaching that teachers are not needed in church today.

Paul even charged Timothy that he was to teach in such a way that those he taught should be able to teach others.(2Tim:2:1-5)
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

    1. Heed the word Hubert...heed the word as you always claim you do!

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you,
you shall abide in him. I John 2:27

Hubert, believers have everything they need to her from the Holy Spirit, God’s appointed annointed Teacher, and that they do not need to go to the denominated seminary, or be taught by a man with a degreed denominated way to interpret scripture.

Not that God does not use and gift men and women from among His Body as teachers, but that our primary dependence for learning should be by the by the Spirit of God, rather than depending on men to learn the things of God. Therefore God has given us the Spirit of God to teach us, and the Word of God as our textbook.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
      1 Corinthians 2:10-12

In this passage, we see that only by the Spirit can we learn the things of God. Moreover, Paul writes in 2 Corinthians that: not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
      2 Corinthians 3:5-6

Therefore, our objective is not to study the Scriptures as an academic exercise, but rather to seek to be taught by the Spirit the things of God. We do not want to store up knowledge, but rather to seek to find the things that will help us to be conformed to His image.

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe... Ephesians 1:17-18

John chapters 14 through 16 give the instructions concerning the Holy Spirit. Two specific verses in chapters 14 through 16 deal with the Holy Spirit as teacher and guide:

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. John 16:13

Therefore, when we desire to learn and grow, let us not look put our trust in other men's explanations of the Bible, but rather let us first look to God's textbook and spend time conversing with Him and communing with Him as our teacher. He is able to answer all our questions by the Scriptures. He says:

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened, for every one that asketh receiveth; Matthew 7:7-8

Now, if you want to disbelieve the word to support you man religious idols, that is your prerogative, but in order to do so you have to go against the teachings of Jesus and His Holy Spirit, thus you are an unfaithful servant heeding the traditions of men over heeding the word of God.

Study to show yourself approved unto men, rightly dividing....not let some man study to tell you what they thin is approved for far to often you should be ashamed of what you believe is the gospel.

  2. I test all teaching with word of God. I test what Baptist say with Word of God. I test what the Pentecostal say with Word. I test what the Jehovahs Witnesses say with the Word. I test what Morman's say with Word. I test what the grace preachers say with Word. I test what those say who have left the institutional church and is now teaching apostacy (not all of them) with the Word. I hold fast that which is according to Scripture and reject the rest.
    nd is now teaching apastacychurch
