Should Fear be a Motivator in a Believers Life?

If it is the fear of losing your salvation that is the motivator behind you living a holy life then your relationship with God is not based on His love and grace.

God do not use fear as a motivator for holiness. Dispite what you have been told directly or indirectly because of  your chosen religious preference, fear is NOT healthy. Fear has to do with punishment therefore, a person who lives in and with fear cannot be perfected in love...for if you were experiencing "perfect love" it would drive fear out of your life and living.

"There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love [a]turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection]. (1 John 4:18)"

Why support a system whose very existance depends on fear as many religious believers do?
