Pondering.

I wonder...To what degree does human kind have free will?

Do we really have absolute control over our lives in choosing our actions, or do we make decisions based on our environment, our gene makeup, the influence of the society we had no choice in being a part of, or the influence of the religious choices our parents or we ourselves have made?

If our past choices determine our present reality and influence our future choices, does that not negate the idea that one can oneself control what one does because what one does or will do is determined by what one has done?

Therefore, is the idea that man uses free will “absolute control” in his decision making...a delusional illusion?
