Refusing to Love with the Love of God is not God Respectiing.

In response to a few of my posts some people, to support their view that standing and demonstrating  for "Christian causes" is a positive witness for the gospel, have referred to God's Love and Grace message in such a way that causes me to think they deem it as frivolous, fluffy, fraudulent, false, and futile concluding that my promotion of the Gospel of Grace and Love puts me in the class of being a false prophet. This response is due to the fact that they view God as both loving and hateful, dispensing good and evil, depending on whether or not He had His coffee fix in the morning to calm His nerves!

Jesus, our example, never organized people to demonstrate for one "Christian cause" during His time upon this earth, neither has He called people to demonstrate for a "Christian cause" since His resurrection! Standing for "Christian causes" is not a Grace Gospel stand rather it is a stand for the gospel of man!

The words of Jesus are; " So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”(John 13:34-35)

The scriptures declare that God is LOVE! It also declares that anything that believers are involved in that is not based on love for people is irrelevant to the Gospel of Christ.

We are to love God and love people with the love of God.

Loving some people is hard work if we force ourselves to love with human love because we do not understand or know the love of God. To love is not just fuzzy warm feelings; the Jesus kind of love ensures my love for you is an intentional action for your benefit, and your love action for me is for my benefit, this loving then is the work of God in us promoting a positive witness by a community of believers to the community of humanity as a whole.

Jesus didn't say “Love each other when you feel like it.” Nor does He say “Love each other because they are of your denominated denominational denomination Sunday-get-together meetings,  He says love, and He means love action for that other person’s benefit. Do it even if you don’t feel like it, even to the people who do not agree with your "Christian cause". Love is action for the other’s benefit: for their success, healing, renewal, redemption. To love is not a suggestion from Jesus; it is a command: Love one another. And I might add, a commandment that all of us have broken...and if we are guilty of breaking one commandment we are guilty of breaking ALL!

John describes it: “Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God—for God is love.”

God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world while we were yet sinners, He loves sinners! This is real love. The Father loved us and sent his Son as the sacrifice to take away our sins and to have a true representation of Himself expressing His character in the earth. All who proclaim that Jesus has the Son of God living in them, God is love therefore, the basis of our existence as believers is LOVE.

If we love Jesus we will even love our enemies, and pray for them! Jesus does not give us the “option” of hating those who do not believe the way we do, nor did He give us the option of not loving those who are not believers. Whether they are brothers and sisters in Christ, enemies or unbelievers, we are to love them with the God kind of love. If I claim Christ as Savior, I do not have the exclusion of love choice. We were all sinners yet, he loved us and gave Himself for us.

Jesus said, “You have heard that the Law of Moses says, ‘Love your neighbour’ and hate your enemy. BUT I SAY, LOVE your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven". Here Jesus is going against the Law of Moses that the "Christian-cause" fighters heavily maintain adherence to.

As believers we are to love each other in spite of our faults and provide forgiveness to the person who offends us. If you are anything like me, there are times when you have failed to love as Jesus loves but, the simple fact that we have failed to love as Jesus has told us to love, does not exempt us from His command to LOVE!

Love to Love by Loving to Love people..
