Are BELIEVERS followers of RELIGION or CHRIST followers?

The creeds, the traditions, the "revelations," and the institutions of men that have cropped up since the time of Christ has cluttered the religious scene and confused the minds of people, and are at best unnecessary ... unnecessary to obedience to God, unnecessary to salvation, unnecessary to completeness in Christ, unnecessary to life and godliness, and unnecessary to the hope of heaven. But it also means that the whole concept of modern religion is not the true Church originating in the mind of God, revealed by the Holy Spirit, and preserved in the new Testament. God purposed the church of Jesus Christ before He even made the world (Eph. 3: 10-11; 1:3-4). Did He purpose the many religious name tag over the buildings known as churches from eternity?

Can we be SIMPLY BELIEVERS? Certainly! No one ever became anything else by following the Bible and Jesus. Follow the Word of God as it stands, not after it has been filtered through the creeds and doctrines of men, then let that make of you what it will. It will make of you what it made of others in the book of Acts. Those who continued in the apostles' doctrine (Acts 2:42) were believers, disciples, saints, it made the whole of them the CHURCH, and that is all the apostles' doctrine will ever make of anyone.

Now, please don't get angry with me, if you want to be a part of a religious  denomination, then by all means go for it. You may ask, do I believe there are genuine Believers in denominations, a resounding yes is my answer. And most pastors and leaders in denominational institutions are there because they feel that they are truly aiding and helping Christ's Body. The institutional church is all that most of them know and they maintain they are the true Church.

It is time that we as Believers give Jesus His rightful place as only Head of His Church that He has established and continues to establish.

I know this is hard for some of you to digest and that I may be called an heretic by denominational people but, search the scriptures to see if what I have conveyed is true or not. "Let God be true and every man a liar."(Rom. 3:4)

The Abusive Tool of Fear-Mongering.

  Fear mongering is an abusive tool used by religion which cripples and limits one's spiritual growth to mature to the full stature of Christ. The fear mongering propaganda that is used as a means to get people saved speaks volumes about the quality of love used to try and scare people to become Christ followers. The scriptures declare that is is the “goodness of God that leads to repentance.” Another characteristic of  fear mongering believers is that they believe that natural disasters are God’s doing and are warnings or punishment for the sin of sinning people. Their sin consciousnesses has blurred their God consciousnesses to where they see God as the big bad wolf waiting to pounce on somebody for sinning.
